Manager/Senior Technical Manager - Pulp & Paper

Duties & Responsibilities:

• To perform paper application test for existing products and new products as per QC and R&D request.
• To give technical knowledge regarding applications for customers in pulp and paper industry and recommend suitable modified products to meet the requirements for use in each application and individual paper mill conditions.
• To coordinate with Production department and Research Development in order to give total solution from concept through commercialization.
• To coordinate laboratory tests with customer for testing samples.
• To coordinate with pulp and paper mills for conducting trial run of modified products in their operation.
• To support sales activity in term of technical training regarding application techniques to maintain existing customers and expand new markets.
• To compile data of all our running accounts, prepare monthly performance reports, analyse the data and support the sales team in identifying problem areas and interacting with R & D and expert team to give solutions.
• To prepare trial data and case studies for new products and update the same to all in the sale team so that the success story can be taken all across the geography.
• To give a technical presentation on our products, chemistry and its applications to the customers as well in the national/ international paper conference level.
• To lead a technical team to support the sales team across India and abroad.
• To provide in-house training for new employees as needed.

Qualification:

• Bachelor or Master or Diploma in Pulp and Paper Technology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10+ years experience in technical support or product development in the paper industry.
• Familiar with Pulp Mill and Paper Machine basis process.
• Knowledge of Standard operating parameters of Pulp & Paper production.
• Understand the chemistry of each unit operations- Cooking, Washing/screening, ODL, Bleaching, Stock preparation, ETP.
• Willing to travel.
• Stay at customer site during product trial.
• Ability to analyse the data.
