Art and Craft Range- Art&Craft Range Key Responsibilities: 1.Market Research: Conduct thorough research to understand the toy market, focusing on different age groups, current trends, and emerging opportunities. 2.Conceptual Design : Assist in creating conceptual briefs for new toys or games based on market needs or specific guidelines from Product Managers. 3.Prototyping : Develop physical prototypes using various materials available in our design library (MDF, foam, rubber bands, paper, etc.). 4.Prototype Optimization : Work on refining and optimizing prototypes to be ready for manufacturing processes such as laser cutting, die cutting, and other production techniques. 5.Costing and Materials: Learn and assist in understanding the in-house costing mechanisms, calculating bill-of-materials (BOM) for prototypes. 6.User Testing: Conduct user testing with children and parents to assess the usability, fun factor, engagement, and value for money of prototypes. Provide insights and feedback based on the testing. 7.Cross-functional Collaboration : Work alongside in-house product owners and design teams to assist with various tasks and support ongoing projects. Qualifications: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Toy Design, or a related field. Strong interest in the toy industry and product design. Hands-on experience with prototyping materials and tools (MDF, foam, rubber bands, paper, etc.). Familiarity with CAD software or prototyping tools is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and receive feedback constructively. Strong communication skills to present ideas and concepts clearly.
