Job Description

As an Accounting Manager in the US Healthcare industry, your role will involve leading healthcare accounting operations with a focus on finance, regulatory compliance, and GAAP. You will oversee the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborating with various teams, you will support revenue recognition, supervise accounting staff, implement internal controls, and assist with audits and tax returns. Additionally, you will monitor changes in healthcare regulations and provide analysis for financial planning efforts. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes in compliance with GAAP. - Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and preparation of financial statements. - Support Medicare/Medicaid cost reporting and ensure compliance with healthcare reimbursement regulations. - Collaborate with billing and revenue cycle teams for accurate revenue recognition. - Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing evaluations and training. - Develop internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure financial data accuracy. - Assist with annual audit and tax return preparation. - Monitor changes in healthcare regulations impacting financial reporting and compliance. - Partner with FP&A for variance analysis, trends, and forecasts. - Support budgeting and long-range financial planning efforts. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). - Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in healthcare or a related industry. - Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, healthcare accounting standards, and regulatory compliance. - Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and healthcare billing systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is a plus. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools. - Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Preferred Skills: - Experience managing audits and external reporting in a healthcare setting. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a collaborative approach.
