About The Role :
Graduate Engineering /Science/Geology back ground, and must have worked for 10 -12 years in the Quality Control / Production department of a mid-to large size Marble or Granite Processing Companywith Exports of tiles and slabs as the major business activity. Must havehands-on experience in managing the entireQuality Control Portfolio for an Export Oriented Marble of Granite Company.Design, develop and implement Quality Control procedures and parameters for each department and processin the Factory.Design and develop the documentation required to ensure proper Quality control procedures are followed and parameters are adhered to.Must understand the process and drive the machine / line configuration required as per business deliverables, such that the First-Time-Right way of processing is being adhered too, during the production process.Must contribute in effective configuration of the line, effective usage of abrasive, chemicals, raw material etc., for ensuring delivery of production output at least possible cost (input – output maximization) and to reduce cost of repeat works on increased consumption of raw materials.Must design, develop and deliver short training sessions for Operators, Supervisors, Inspectors so as to make them well versed in Quality aspects and parameters and to ensure their compliance during the production process for First-Time-Right way of processing.Must ensure the inspection and quality checks are done is a manner that the same does not hamper production or other related activities.Provide good support and coordination with Quarry and Production teams to drive yield to output maximization.Must implement the best practices of Quality Control in the Factory for ensuring continuous upgradation of process and team members.Work toward certification of the Factory on ISO parameters within the shortest possible time.Must have strong and hands-onexperience in Quality aspects related to Marble or Granite Processing.Must be good in understandingof international tolerance standards of quality being followed in different parts of the world for Marble and Granite products.Must have indepth knowledge of marble / granite processing including the raw material used for enhancing quality and strength of the slabs/finish of tiles etc.Must be having an eye for details so as to identity the wrong / erroneous points/end in the process.Must be positive and polite in dealing with Business stakeholders to ensure thatprocess changes are implemented for improved qualityand deviation are not allowed.Must be passionate to drive a startup department for rendering quality service to business.Must be willing to take the stretch and be deliver services to the business as per business exigencies.Must be able to motivate a small team to be focused on rendering high standard of quality output for business development and growth.Must be positively oriented in renderinggrowth ofbusinessand stake holders.Must have good communication and presentation skillsfor Factoryrelated activities.Must be willing to travel and develop vendors for quality related business requirements.Must be strong in influencing and negotiating deals with vendors/department heads and stake-holders.Must be able to work and manage a cross –cultural and multi-national group of employees.Must have strong Computer skills – MS Office / SAP etc.
