Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Prosthetist & Orthotist to independently manage and lead our Assistive Device Unit at the Ability Rehabilitation Center. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong blend of clinical excellence, professionalism, and compassion while delivering high-quality prosthetic and orthotic services to clients. Key Responsibilities Independently oversee the operations of the Assistive Device Unit, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery. Provide comprehensive P&O clinical services, including assessment, prescription, design, fabrication, fitting, and follow-up of prosthetic and orthotic devices. Apply advanced P&O knowledge and technical skills to ensure maximum comfort, optimal function, and improved quality of life for patients. Maintain a client-centered approach with empathy, dignity, and sensitivity, while upholding professional standards in a charitable healthcare environment. Coordinate with the interdisciplinary rehabilitation team to deliver integrated and goal-oriented care. Ensure proper documentation, maintenance of patient records, and adherence to relevant quality and safety guidelines. Guide and support junior staff, technicians, and trainees when required. Engage in community-based as well as center-based rehabilitation activities. Actively participate in awareness programs, outreach camps, and capacity-building initiatives related to assistive technology. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics (BPO) or higher. Valid RCI registration as a Professional. Strong clinical experience in prosthetic and orthotic patient management, preferably in a rehabilitation or hospital setting. Ability to work independently, manage complex clinical cases, and make informed decisions. Desired Attributes Excellent patient communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills. Strong ethical values, empathy, and commitment to serving individuals with disabilities. Willingness to participate in both community and center-based services. Ability to contribute to continuous service development and uphold the organization's mission. Compensation Salary is negotiable and will be based on qualification, experience, and professional competence.
