Review product specifications to determine technical requirements, including but not limited to equipment selection, sizing, costing, research requests for duplicate equipment from serial number records, and develop current pricing.
Communicate with our direct suppliers for pricing, delivery, and technical information.
Produce detailed and concise work instructions pertaining to customer requirements, production improvements, purchasing assistance, etc.
Provide documentation to Project Management pertaining to pricing, delivery schedule, preliminary design information, and exceptions quoted to customer specifications, detailed listing of customer specifications reviewed at proposal phase, pattern research, etc.
Post fulfilment project review to determine causes of margin erosion and improvements that can be made to reduce future margin erosion.
Support continuous improvement, identify inefficiencies, and eliminate errors in the order winning process.
Support continuous improvement, in order to achieve deliverables and maximize profit.
Be a voice of the customer to the Customer Support Center, advocating for the customer s needs

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
10+ years of experience the field of manufacturing industry, preferably in applications/proposals for dosing pump related profiles.
Valid UAE driver s license.
Knowledge of the Positive displacement pumps applications in Water treatment, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Industry would be an advantage.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

This position is based in Dubai, UAE however occasional local and international travel to meet customers/Ingersoll Rand Manufacturing establishments is expected.

Key Competencies

Proven experience of applications and proposal engineering.
Good negotiating and influencing capabilities at senior level are essential
Proficient in MS Office and ability to learn the softwares/tools used at Ingersoll Rand which are essential for selection of the pumps and preparing the quotation.
