Role Overview:
We are seeking a versatile Manager – Project with proven expertise in managing civil construction, procurement of plant and machinery, and setting up manufacturing units for BSL-1 category microorganisms. The ideal candidate will lead vendor negotiations, oversee erection and commissioning of bio-reactors and process vessels, and manage cross-functional teams from production through to logistics, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage civil construction projects to meet technical and safety standards.
•  Strategize and execute procurement of plant and machinery, including interfacing with multiple vendors and driving competitive negotiation processes.
• Lead installation, erection, and commissioning of vessels, bioreactors, and associated manufacturing equipment for BSL-1 microbial processes.
• Manage and coordinate teams across production, quality control, packaging, and logistics to ensure seamless operations aligned with SOPs.
• Oversee timelines, budgets, and compliance to deliver the project within scope.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, contractors, and external agencies for smooth project execution.
• Develop and maintain rigorous monitoring and reporting systems for project progress and quality assurance.

Candidate Profile:•     

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Bioprocess Engineering, or a related field.  
• 8–15 years of project management experience in bio-manufacturing, fermentation, or related process industries.
• Strong track record in vendor management, procurement, and negotiation within capital projects.
• Experience with BSL-1 level microbial manufacturing operations and GMP compliance.  
• Demonstrated leadership abilities managing multi-disciplinary teams and adherence to SOPs.  
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
