About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing and Vendor Management:

    Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of high-quality electronics components and finished goods. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new and alternative suppliers, both domestic and international, to build a robust and resilient supply chain.
  • Price Negotiation:

    Lead negotiations with suppliers on pricing, terms, and conditions to secure the best value while maintaining quality standards.
  • Cost Management and Optimization:

    Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed of industry trends, price fluctuations, and technological advancements. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality.
  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

    Work closely with the R&D, D&D, Production, and Quality Control teams to understand product specifications and new product requirements. Ensure procured components and products meet all technical, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Supply Chain Operations:

    Oversee the procurement process from purchase requisition to final delivery. Monitor inventory levels, track orders, and manage logistics to prevent stock shortages or overstock situations.
  • Performance Monitoring:

    Conduct regular supplier performance reviews based on key metrics such as quality, delivery, and responsiveness. Document and report on procurement activities, spend analysis, and cost savings.
  • Risk Management:

    Develop and deploy risk mitigation strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions, such as component shortages or tariff issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering is required.
  • Experience:

    7-8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with significant hands-on experience specifically in consumer electronics.
  • Product Knowledge:

    In-depth knowledge of electronic components and sourcing channels relevant to products like mobile chargers, power banks, trimmers, and hair straighteners etc.
  • Negotiation Skills:

    Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a proven track record of securing favorable terms and pricing.
  • Technical Skills:

    Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and product specifications.
  • Analytical Skills:

    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to forecast demand, analyze market trends, and manage budgets.
  • Software Proficiency:

    Proficiency in SAP is must. Experience in ARIBA is an added advantage.
