Role Overview

Purchase Manager

The role is pivotal in maintaining uninterrupted production, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing overall procurement performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive

  procurement strategies

  to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and capital equipment.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors while ensuring adherence to quality, delivery, and cost parameters.
  
• Conduct

  cost analysis and negotiations

  to achieve optimal pricing and long-term value.
• Monitor and control

  inventory levels

  to maintain an appropriate balance between production requirements and working capital.
• Coordinate effectively with Production, Stores, Quality Assurance, and Finance departments to ensure smooth and uninterrupted material flow.
  
• Maintain and update

  vendor records, purchase orders, and procurement reports

  in ERP.

• Implement procurement KPIs to track performance, vendor reliability, lead times, and cost savings.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Educational Qualification:

  Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, Engineering, or Commerce. Post-graduation or diploma in Supply Chain / Materials / Purchase Management preferred.

• Experience:

  610 years of relevant experience in purchase or procurement within a

  pharma, cosmetics, nutraceutical, or chemical manufacturing setup

  .
• Strong expertise in

  vendor management, sourcing, cost control, and contract negotiation.

• Proficiency in

  ERP systems, MS Office tools

  , and procurement software modules.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under deadlines, and coordinate cross-functionally with diverse teams.
