Job Description

Job Purpose

To manage material planning and procurement of commodities such as sheet, plate, strip, and rings ensuring cost-effective, timely, and quality sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct detailed material planning using
SAP
and prepare RFQs.
Manage complete
P2P (Procure-to-Pay)
cycle and associated risk mitigation.
Source and identify suppliers, negotiate terms, and ensure adherence to procurement procedures.
Manage vendor performance, conduct audits, and oversee new vendor onboarding.
Support sales team during the pre-order stage to secure orders.
Maintain optimal inventory levels through consignment stock and alternate supplier development.
Ensure effective use of digital procurement tools and dashboards.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve procurement goals.
Monitor and drive continuous improvement initiatives for cost and quality optimization.

Required Skills & Expertise

Strong knowledge of
SAP MM
, planning, and scheduling.
Familiarity with
ASTM
and
DIN
standards for raw materials.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
