This role drives the audit strategy, ensures strong internal controls, and provides assurance to senior leadership and the Audit Committee.

Responsibilities

1. Designing a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan aligned with audit standards and the internal audit charter.
2. Leading the strategic and operational development of the internal audit and assurance function.
3. Providing assurance to senior leadership and the Audit Committee on the effectiveness of risk management and internal controls.
4. Reviewing and assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, policies, and procedures.
5. Identifying key risk areas and ensuring quality execution of internal audits as per the defined methodology.
6. Introducing new themes and risk areas into the internal audit plan and conducting risk-based audits.
   

Requirements

1. CA with 5+ years of experience in internal audit, assurance, and risk assessment.
2. Internal audit experience within the insurance industry.
3. Experience managing teams and co-sourced audit partners.
4. Strong stakeholder management capabilities and ability to communicate with senior leadership.
5. Technical proficiency in audit methodology, risk assessment, and automation.
