Job Description

A Manager role at a pressure vessel manufacturer involves overseeing the production process, ensuring ASME and other code compliance, managing fabrication teams, coordinating with quality assurance, and optimizing shop operations to meet safety, quality, and efficiency goals. Key responsibilities include developing production plans, supervising fabrication steps, coordinating inspections, and maintaining documentation, while required skills involve leadership, manufacturing experience, and a thorough understanding of pressure vessel fabrication standards and codes. Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication Oversight: Manage the fabrication of pressure vessels and related components, including welding, forming, and fitting operations.
  • Production Planning: Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and work orders for fabrication teams.
  • Code Compliance: Ensure all fabrication processes adhere to ASME Section VIII, Section IX, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Supervise quality control, document procedures like WPS/PQRs and welder qualifications, and coordinate inspections (e.g., NDT, hydrotesting).
  • Team Management: Lead and supervise fabrication teams, including welders, fitters, and inspectors, to achieve production targets.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain controlled documents, generate required data reports, and coordinate with third-party inspectors and Authorized Inspectors (AIs).
  • Process Improvement: Track process times and suggest ideas for improving efficiency and quality within the fabrication shop.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience in fabrication, preferably with a background in pressure vessel fabrication, heat exchangers, or sheet metal components.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical knowledge of ASME codes, welding procedures, and materials traceability.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of workers to fulfill daily production targets.
  • Quality Mindset: A strong emphasis on quality, safety, and efficiency in all manufacturing activities.
  • Communication: Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with various departments, customers, and regulatory inspectors.

Typical Duties

  • Overseeing daily shop operations and production flow.
  • Ensuring the proper use and calibration of measuring instruments and gauges.
  • Coordinating final delivery and shipping logistics.
  • Providing technical support for new and existing products.
  • Conducting customer visits for after-sales support.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹55,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
