Job Description

A Senior Accountant oversees financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance, while also mentoring junior staff. They analyze complex financial data, prepare financial statements, and ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulations. They play a key role in financial analysis, budgeting, and audit support. Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).
  • Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare journal entries and reconcile accounts (general ledger, sub-ledgers).
  • Compliance and Audits:
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles (GAAP) and tax regulations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts, and analyze budget variances.
  • Supervision and Mentoring:
  • Mentor and train junior accounting staff.
  • Oversee the work of junior accountants and provide guidance.
  • General Accounting:
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure its accuracy.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Other Duties:
  • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with various stakeholders (internal and external).

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), financial reporting, and accounting software.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and solve problems.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex financial information.
  • Supervisory Skills: Ability to mentor and train junior staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work independently.
  • Qualifications: BCOM/MCOM/MBA WITH 5-10 YEAR EXPERIENCE

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
