As the PUD / Distribution Center Head, your role is crucial in overseeing all inbound and outbound operations at the PUD/Distribution Center. Your main responsibility is to ensure the timely, accurate, and profitable delivery of Apex / Surface shipments to customers. Here are the key responsibilities associated with this role: - Supervising daily inbound and outbound Apex / Surface operations at the PUD/ Distribution Center, including P2P operations and EDL/ODA deliveries - Analyzing load patterns periodically to plan pick-up and delivery routes for first and last-mile connectivity to customers - Monitoring daily loads and planning delivery and pick-up schedules accordingly - Ensuring timely pickups (call pickups or registered pickups) and receipt of shipments from channel partners - Ensuring safe, timely, and profitable delivery of shipments to customers and working towards reducing instances of undelivered shipments - Monitoring regulatory paperwork for completeness and accuracy and coordinating with origin/customer in case of incomplete paperwork - Ensuring availability of sufficient vehicles for inbound/outbound operations and overseeing vehicle placement at bays - Monitoring the carting/loading, tally processes, and ensuring safe handling of all shipments - Overseeing the work of supervisors to ensure adherence to operational workflows and SOPs - Handling all exception cases and ensuring follow-up for closure/resolution - Conducting daily staff briefings and monitoring staff performance - Providing direction, guidance, and support to employees and ensuring high levels of employee engagement and retention - Mentoring and coaching subordinates to develop team capabilities and build a robust succession pipeline - Generating and maintaining MIS related to the PUD / DC In addition to the above responsibilities, you will also be responsible for optimizing costs, driving service quality, ensuring security of shipments, regulatory compliance, enhancing operational productivity, fostering a performance-driven culture, supporting employee capability building, and driving employee morale and engagement. --- This is the relevant job description as per the provided JD.,
