Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Operational Oversight:
The MOD ensures all departments, from administration and reception to emergency services and facilities, run smoothly.
Emergency Response:
They are the first responder to critical incidents, emergencies, and facility-related issues, ensuring a prompt and effective response.
Patient & Family Support:
The MOD handles urgent patient or family concerns, aiming to provide service recovery and maintain patient satisfaction.
Staff Leadership & Coordination:
They provide leadership, support, and guidance to staff across various departments, assisting with problem-solving and decision-making.
Policy & Protocol Enforcement:
The MOD ensures that hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols (like infection control, security, and fire safety) are followed.
Logistics & Capacity Management:
This can include supporting patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, especially in relation to bed utilization.
Reporting:
They prepare and submit reports on the activities and incidents of their shift to the hospital management.
