Job Overview:

The Jewellery Product Developer will work closely with the design, production, and sourcing teams to develop new jewellery products, from initial concept through to finished piece. The role requires a deep understanding of design principles, material selection, and production processes, as well as an ability to manage timelines, budgets, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Development: Work alongside designers to bring new jewellery concepts to life, ensuring they are viable for mass production while meeting the company’s creative vision.
• Material Sourcing: Research and source materials (precious metals, gemstones, beads, etc.) to ensure the best quality, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
• Prototyping: Oversee the prototyping process, ensuring prototypes meet design and quality standards. Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to refine designs and address any production issues.
• Product Specifications: Develop detailed technical specifications for each product, including measurements, material breakdown, finishes, and production techniques.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the company’s standards of quality, durability, and craftsmanship before they go into production.
• Costing & Budgeting: Work with the production team to estimate costs for new products, ensuring they align with company budget goals.
• Trend Analysis: Keep up-to-date with jewellery trends, market demands, and competitor offerings to inform design and product development strategies.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to ensure products are aligned with brand vision and customer expectations.
• Project Management: Manage multiple development projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines, milestones, and production timelines are met.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years of experience in jewellery product development or a related field, with a strong portfolio of developed products.
• Education: Degree or certification in Jewellery Design, Product Development, Fashion Design, or a related discipline.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, Adobe Illustrator) and 3D modelling. Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, setting, and finishing techniques.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure the highest level of accuracy in all technical drawings, prototypes, and product specifications.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturers.
• Creativity: Strong ability to translate trends and ideas into commercial, beautiful products.
• Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and address challenges during the product development process.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple projects with shifting priorities.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
• Experience with gemstone and diamond selection and sourcing.
• Familiarity with international jewellery markets and trends.
• Experience working with both fine jewellery and fashion jewellery lines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹16,487.40 - ₹65,019.80 per month

Work Location: In person
