Legal Advice:
Provide legal guidance and support to cross-functional teams on matters related to food laws and regulations. Review and approve marketing materials, product packaging, and labeling to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Advise on product development, formulations, and claims substantiation in accordance with applicable laws. -
Regulatory Compliance:
Tracking regulatory changes and providing timely updates to internal stakeholders enabling proactive action and reducing the risk of non-compliance penalties that might impact the companys financial standing. Review and approve content, including articles, videos, advertisements, and promotional materials, to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Provide guidance on product developments approval on marketing claims marketing materials in India. -
Contractual Risk Mitigation:
Ensuring thorough drafting and careful vetting of contracts to mitigate financial risks and liabilities, thus safeguarding the companys financial interests against potential legal issues or disputes arising from agreements. -
Litigation Management:
Having adeptly managed legal proceedings to mitigate potential financial losses by devising strategies for swift and cost-effective resolution of litigations, thereby reducing legal expenses and potential penalties. Additionally, have experience in handling food law and land matters.
Customer Service

Collaboration and coordination
: To collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, advocates, and other pertinent departments to ensure a unified approach in addressing matters. Represent the organization in interactions with regulatory agencies, industry associations, and other stakeholders on issues related to food laws. -
Statutory Compliance Management
: Ensuring compliance through web-based tools and internal stakeholder education minimizing the risk of penalties, fines, or legal actions due to non-compliance.
Internal Processes

Due diligence
: To assist in conducting thorough due diligence investigations. This will mostly involve working along with external advisors. -
Intellectual Property
: Advise on intellectual property issues, including copyright, trademark, and fair use considerations. Supporting, coordinating, monitoring and meeting the appointed investigation agencies and law firms, market survey and coordinating with the agencies for enforcement activities. -
Regulatory Updates Compliance:
Keeping track of regulatory changes and timely dissemination of updates to internal stakeholders ensures proactive compliance management, streamlining internal processes related to regulatory adherence and potential operational changes.

Qualified LLB from reputed Law College

Food / FMCG Industry experience of 5-8 years

Good knowledge in drafting and vetting of agreements.
