Manager IT Applications - Operations

Purpose/Objective

The Ahmedabad Airport IT department is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Application Lead to join our team. This is a management level position responsible for leading and managing the development of applications within the emerging technologies space. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in handling large and complex projects, with a focus on emerging technologies such as IoT, Al, and ML. Although an airport background would be advantageous, it is not essential. As the Application Lead, you will be responsible for coordinating with external vendors and overseeing the development of applications within the emerging technologies space for the Airport IT department You will work closely with cross-functional teams and be responsible for project management, as well as providing subject matter expertise on the application architecture. This role requires excellent coordination skills, as well as the ability to liaise with internal and external Stake holders-

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Ensure the Lines-of-Business and Enterprise Applications support business goals and meet user requirements. - Lead the planning for key intermediate project delivery milestones and proactively track work progress, manage design and implementation contractors for timely delivery of projects. - Oversee and govern the development, deployment and support of Enterprise Applications and ensure its in line with business expectations and Information Services strategies. - Lead the development of Information Services Application Roadmaps, consulting business function leads, system integrators and vendors. - Proactively monitor project progress, expediting, risk mitigation and management of projects from design, implementation through commissioning stages. Responsible for change management, - problem management, incident management related to IT projects. - Work with Architecture, Infra and Cyber Leads and ensure platforms are in line with global standards and necessary compliances are met. - Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends related to the emerging technologies space and develop and implement best practices, methodologies, and standards for - application development - Oversee the integration of applications with back-end services - Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people in large complex projects. - Plan and oversee QA/QC, pre commissioning, commissioning, performance, and integration tests. Plan for Hand Over and Take Over (HOTO) process and successful transition of IT Infra from project to operations.

Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (degree, training, or certification required) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Master's degree preferred. Professional certifications: CCMA (Optional), ITIL Framework, Cyber Security, PMP Agile/Scrum, AWS/Azure/GCP Certified Solution Architect (Optional), Certified IoT Professional (CIoTP). Core Understanding of TIA Standards and airport systems RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required) Minimum of 10 years' experience in application development, QA, Implementation with a focus on emerging technologies such as IoT, AI, and ML. Strong understanding of application architecture and design. Experience in project management of large and complex projects. Excellent coordination and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure. Knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI
