Manager, Strategic Initiatives

Reporting to Vice President Strategic Growth

Job Summary

This role is responsible for enabling effectiveness through expert handling of business communication, executive personal branding, critical project management, and the development of compelling business development and funding narratives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Executive Communications & Personal Branding

Personal Branding of certain KMP's: Manage the personal brand visibility and voice of assigned KMP's, including ghostwriting and editing thought leadership pieces, media quotes, and high-impact social media content, ensuring an authoritative and consistent voice.

Business Communication: Craft sensitive and persuasive internal and external business communications (e.g., strategic partnership emails, leadership updates, stakeholder letters).

Executive Readiness: Prepare comprehensive pre-read and briefing materials ahead of critical internal meetings (e.g., Board reviews) and external engagements, simplifying complex data points.

2. Strategic Content & Narrative Development

Pitch Deck Ideation: Lead the strategic ideation, narrative design, and content creation for all critical decks, including Investor Pitch Decks, Strategic Business Development Pitches, and key client presentations.

Concept Notes: Transform early-stage strategic ideas into structured Concept Notes, Executive Summaries, and Business Cases to secure internal alignment and external engagement.

3. Strategic Project Management & Enablement

Critical Path Management: Act as the central project manager for complex, cross-functional strategic growth initiatives, specifically tracking and managing critical path milestones and dependencies.

Action Tracking: Ensure follow-through on key decisions and action items arising from executive meetings, acting as the primary liaison between the VP and various functional heads.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 8-10 years in a high-level strategic support, executive communications, or management consulting role, with mandatory experience in pitch deck creation and executive ghostwriting.
  • Strategic Communication: Proven ability to simplify complex business, financial, and technical information into clear, concise, and persuasive documents and visual narratives.
  • Project Governance: Demonstrated experience managing projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment, ensuring accountability and timely delivery.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint/Google Slides/ Canva/ Keynote) and strong familiarity with graphic design principles for effective data visualization.

Key Measurement Parameters (KMPs)

Project & Strategy Execution

On-time completion rate of strategic initiative milestones managed (Target: 95%+).

Executive Content Quality

Stakeholder feedback score on the clarity and strategic value of briefing materials and executive content.

Communication Impact

Success rate of pitch decks/concept notes supported (e.g., % conversion to the next strategic stage).

Personal Brand Consistency

Establishing and Adherence to approved voice/style guides for public-facing communications.
