Manager - Export Operations

We are looking forward for a suitable candidate for the position of Senior Manager - Export Operations role.

Key Responsibilities

Export Operations

• Manage end-to-end export shipment cycles (SEA/AIR/ROAD/COURIER).
• Handle booking with airlines / shipping lines / consolidators.
• Monitor documentation accuracy including invoices, packing lists, COO, BL/AWB, export declarations, etc.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations and trade policies.
• Track shipments and proactively resolve operational issues or delays.
• Maintain coordination with CHA, transporters, warehouses, carriers, and overseas agents.
• Monitor export billing, costs, and profitability.
• Maintain shipment records and operational MIS.

Customer Service & Client Management

• Act as single point of contact for key export customers.
• Manage order updates, shipment visibility, and milestone reporting.
• Handle customer escalations professionally and promptly.
• Build strong client relationships and improve service quality.
• Coordinate with sales and operations to maintain client SLAs.

Process & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to company SOPs and industry regulations.
• Support audits, compliance checks, and documentation control.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor export operations and CS executives.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (sales, finance, warehouse, procurement).
• Support management with operational insights and reporting.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of export procedures and documentation.
• Understanding of Incoterms, trade compliance & international logistics.
• Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and proactive follow-through.
• Strong coordination and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office / ERP / TMS preferred.
• Team leadership capability.

Qualifications & Experience

Graduate / Post-Graduate in Logistics, International Trade, Commerce, or related field.

5-10 years experience in export operations, logistics, or freight forwarding.

Prior experience in customer service or key account management preferred.

Knowledge of global trade regulations and customs procedures.
