Manager - Coal Yards

Purpose/Objective

Responsible for safe & effective Coal Operations. Pre-planning for effective execution of Coal yard operations. coordination with stake holders to achieve high productivity by reviewing of loading /discharge operations with optimum resources. To Prepare and review of operations, Budget, New Process development / operations improvements, Contract process management, cargo handling cost monitoring and employee development.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Prepare & Review operations plan as per vessel details and available resources - Ensure availability of required resources; drivers, equipment (Dumpers, excavators) as per operation plan and allocate them as per requirement. - Ensure safe and smooth coal yard operations as per SOP - Ensure and maintain Documents as per IMS Standard - Co-ordinating with fire team for fire suppression & firefighting as per requirement - Planning of Excavators, Pay loaders Berth wise & Vessel Wise - Coordinating with Yard In-charges for discharge planning & resources planning (Viz. dumpers, payloaders, traffic marshals). - Prepare and review of operations, Budget, New Process development / operations improvements, Contract process management, cargo handling cost monitoring and employee development. Capability to handle end to end cycle of coal operations in port - Capability to handle end to end cycle of coal operations in port. - Plan rake/Road/Conveyor Operations and dispatch as per customer terms. - Ensuring implementation of safety in port operations by the employees and sub-contractors - Developed potential successor to take up higher responsibility. - Coordinate with Documentation, Logistics, Marketing team, Jetty, Shippers, Receivers, Clients, Commercial Dept for executing cargo operations. - Ensure training and development of people to complete identified training needs - Motivate the team through employee communication and coaching - Develop leadership pool. - Strategic Branding of Adani Group within and outside the organization amongst the internal / external stakeholders - Developing Talent / Leadership pipeline within the department - Ensuring Digital Transformation within the department

Qualifications and Experience

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree, BE/ B.Tech. (Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics/Instrumentation) & MBA- Operation RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Experiences: 12+ years in Dry Cargo Operations in Sea Port
