Job Description

Job Purpose :

  • To handle the company end-to-end accounting operations, project accounting, and statutory compliance, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and financial discipline across all real estate projects and corporate functions. Exposure to project accounting, contractor billing, and RERA-related financial documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Accounting & Financial Operations

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities for multiple real estate projects and the corporate office.
  • Maintain general ledgers, project ledgers, and ensure accurate booking of income and expenses.
  • Handle reconciliation of bank accounts, project advances, and inter-branch / inter-company accounts.
  • Ensure timely closure of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts.
  • Prepare schedules for audit and coordinate with internal and statutory auditors.

2. Project & Cost Accounting

  • Track project expenses, work-in-progress (WIP), and cost-to-completion analysis.
  • Reconcile contractor bills, vendor payments, and project advances with BOQs and work progress.
  • Support project teams in maintaining accurate cost records and controlling budget overruns.

3. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and Income Tax.
  • Assist in preparation and filing of monthly/annual returns and reports.
  • Maintain proper records for audits and assessments under applicable laws.

4. MIS & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports for management cash flow, project cost summary, revenue tracking, and receivables.
  • Support in budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Provide financial insights to support management decisions.

5. Coordination & Controls

  • Coordinate with banks, auditors, vendors, and project teams for financial and compliance matters.
  • Ensure internal control systems are implemented effectively across accounting and payment processes.
  • Monitor collection from customers and update project receivable status.

Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong understanding of real estate / construction accounting practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance.
  • Proficient in Tally ERP / SAP and MS Excel.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multi-location accounts and manage a small accounting team.
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and time management.

Preferred Background :

  • Experience in mid-to-large scale real estate companies.
  • Prior experience in finalisation of accounts and audit coordination.
  • Candidate who are Inter CA are also preferred.
