Job Title: Manager / Assistant Manager Accounts & Finance Job Location: Andheri (West), Mumbai Industry: Entertainment / Media / Film Production Experience: 5 to 10 years in accounting Salary Range: 3.60 LPA to ?6.00 LPA About the Company A leading public limited media and film production house with a strong presence in the entertainment industry. Qualifications & Skills Required Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or equivalent (CA/CPA preferred) Experience: 510 years in accounting/finance; experience in the entertainment industry is a plus Technical Skills: Expertise in Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, MS Office (especially Excel) Key Traits: Strong organizational skills, time management, decision-making, and multitasking under pressure Personal Skills: Adaptable, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, with excellent verbal and written communication Job Summary Ensure the financial health of the organization by managing accounts, preparing financial statements, and fulfilling tax and corporate compliances. Provide sound financial insights to guide short-term and long-term business decisions while maintaining financial integrity for projects and the company. Key Responsibilities (KRAs) 1. Financial Management & Reporting Prepare and review financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, etc.) Monitor and analyze accounting data to generate financial reports Oversee month/year-end processes, reconciliations, and variance analyses Ensure accurate and timely GST, TDS, and ROC filings in coordination with CA and CS Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls 2. Budgeting & Cash Flow Management Develop and manage budgets, cash flow forecasts, and project pay-out sheets Ensure effective cash flow planning and deployment for projects Track revenue streams, rights sales, and contract renewals 3. Taxation & Compliance Handle routine tax planning and statutory compliances Stay updated on financial legal requirements and ensure adherence Manage external audits and provide necessary documentation 4. Operational & Vendor Management Manage payroll, accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and capital asset reconciliations Oversee vendor negotiations, document processing, and financial reviews Ensure timely renewal of AMCs, insurance policies, and related obligations 5. Film Production Support Maintain up-to-date financial records during production Negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and professionals for project-specific needs Generate project-wise P&L reports and track spending against budgets 6. Administrative Functions Organize and manage AGMs, draft meeting agendas, and record minutes Ensure timely filing and organization of physical and digital documents Coordinate with legal and corporate governance teams for updates and compliance
