Summary:
The Finance & Accounts Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and strategic value of the organization’s financial operations. This position is responsible for overseeing daily accounting functions, preparing comprehensive financial reports, and maintaining adherence to statutory regulations. The ideal candidate will lead the accounts team, drive process optimization, and provide actionable financial insights to support business planning and decision-making. With a focus on audit readiness, budgetary control, and multi-entity accounting (where applicable), this role ensures financial integrity across all operations, contributing significantly to the organization’s long-term growth and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations to ensure precision and consistency.
- Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, P&L statements, and cash flow statements.
- Generate MIS reports and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and support internal and statutory audits, maintaining complete documentation for audit readiness.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounts team while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Implement and refine accounting policies, processes, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Approve vouchers, journal entries, and reconciliations to uphold financial integrity.
- Support budget preparation, conduct variance analysis, and contribute to cost control initiatives.
- Provide strategic financial insights to aid management in planning and decision-making.
- Manage accounting functions across multiple projects, sites, or entities, including tracking project expenses, retention money, and advance payments.
Requirements Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance; CA, CMA, or CPA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 8 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Proven expertise in preparing financial statements, MIS reports, and statutory filings.
- In-depth knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and audit procedures.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with experience in mentoring junior staff.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or entities with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
