Job Description

Job Purpose: Build market position by developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business deals with overseas clients/agents. Roles and Responsibilities  Conduct client-focused business development/networking activities to achieve overall revenue targets, along with increasing presence in all participating networks. Locates and proposes potential business deals by contacting potential overseas agents, discovering, and exploring opportunities of partnerships. Closes new business opportunities by providing solutions; developing and negotiating freight rates. Ensure all existing overseas agents are contacted and qualified with the aim of further developing agent relationships and generating additional revenue streams. Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services - or new ways of reaching existing agents. Liaise with the finance team, operations, and MIS departments as appropriate. Attend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate. Contact prospective clients through a variety of mediums – this could include reaching out on social media, phoning, emailing, or meeting in person. Keeping on top of administrative tasks – such as updating CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems. Maintain and update sales, marketing, and business development documentation.
