Major Incident Manager

As a Major Incident Manager (MIM) at our organization, you will be handling major incidents on a global scale with responsibilities spanning Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Your role will involve leading the response to major incidents, ensuring their timely resolution, and effective communication with stakeholders. Coordinating with technical teams, vendors, and business units will be crucial in driving incident resolution. Additionally, you will provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership and impacted stakeholders, facilitate post-incident reviews, and track follow-up actions. You will be working in 24/7 rotational shifts, including weekends, to ensure continual coverage and act as the escalation point for any major incident-related issues. Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain and exceed performance standards, participating in continuous improvement initiatives, and being accountable for major incidents will be part of your key responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should possess a professional level of English proficiency, hold a Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or have equivalent experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing IT incidents and at least 2 years in a Major Incident Manager role is required. Strong understanding of ITIL processes, especially Incident and Problem Management, along with ITIL certification, is desirable. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, leadership abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities and complex issues are essential. Preferred skills include previous experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, knowledge of AGILE and/or LEAN methodologies, and familiarity with IT infrastructure technologies.
