Role Overview: As a Maintenance Manager, your role involves overseeing the maintenance operations within the company to ensure smooth functioning of equipment and machinery. You will be responsible for developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules, utilizing predictive analytics techniques, monitoring machine health, ensuring immediate response to breakdowns, leading installation and commissioning of new machines, supervising a team of technicians, maintaining spare parts inventory, optimizing power consumption, ensuring compliance with regulations, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and leading Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement programs. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for CNC/VMC, press machines, hydraulic systems, and electrical equipment to minimize downtime. - Utilize predictive analytics and root cause analysis techniques to reduce machine downtime by at least 15-20% annually. - Monitor machine health using vibration analysis, thermal imaging, and other diagnostic tools for early issue detection. - Ensure immediate response and resolution of machine breakdowns to minimize production losses. - Target Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) below 4 hours for major equipment breakdowns. - Maintain breakdown analysis reports and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. - Lead the installation and commissioning of new machines, ensuring compliance with specifications, alignment, power requirements, and safety checks. - Supervise and guide a team of technicians and maintenance staff, conducting monthly technical training sessions to enhance skills. - Set individual and team KPIs aligned with plant targets. - Maintain optimum stock levels of critical spare parts, implement a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for spare tracking, and reduce spare inventory cost by 10% annually. - Monitor and optimize power consumption of machines and utilities, coordinating with the electrical team to maintain transformers, LT/HT panels, and ensure power quality. - Implement energy-saving projects to improve efficiency. - Ensure adherence to statutory maintenance regulations and safety norms, conduct safety audits, and maintain documentation for internal and external audits. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives in the maintenance function and participate in cross-functional projects to enhance equipment reliability and plant efficiency. - Lead Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvement programs in collaboration with production and quality teams.
