Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of foundry equipment
Maintain and troubleshoot machinery such as furnaces, molding lines, sand preparation systems, shot blasting machines, conveyors, and cranes
Identify mechanical faults and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime
Coordinate with production and electrical teams to ensure smooth operations
Supervise installation, alignment, and commissioning of new equipment
Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintenance best practices
Maintain maintenance logs, reports, and spare parts records

Requirements:

Bachelor’s / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in
casting foundry or heavy manufacturing industry
preferred
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, and material handling systems
Ability to read mechanical drawings and technical manuals
Good understanding of industrial safety norms

Skills & Competencies:

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Hands-on maintenance experience
Team player with good communication skills
Willingness to work in shifts if required
