Maintenance Engineer

Location: Chennai

Education: Diploma/B.tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and systems. The ideal candidate will ensure uninterrupted production operations by performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on production machines and utilities.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure all equipment and systems function efficiently and comply with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and generate reports.
• Coordinate with the production team to minimize downtime and plan shutdowns.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of necessary materials.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new machines and systems.
• Recommend and implement improvements to increase equipment efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and statutory regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in maintenance of industrial machinery or plant equipment.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, motors, conveyors, pumps, and HVAC systems (optional based on industry).
• Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Proficient in MS Office and maintenance management software (CMMS preferred).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
