Mainframe Developer (COBOL, JCL, DB2) — On-site, India

About The Opportunity

A leader in IT services and enterprise systems integration, operating in legacy application support, mainframe modernization, and mission-critical financial systems. We partner with large banking and insurance clients to maintain, optimize, and modernize high-volume transaction processing environments on IBM z/OS platforms.Role & Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain production-quality COBOL programs and JCL scripts for batch and online transaction processing.
Develop and support CICS and DB2 interfaces; tune SQL and program logic for performance and scalability.
Troubleshoot and resolve runtime incidents using TSO/ISPF, trace tools and job logs; implement corrective fixes and RCA documentation.
Build and maintain VSAM file definitions and utilities; coordinate data migration and backup procedures for datasets.
Participate in code review, unit testing, and deployment activities; prepare implementation packages and runbooks for production cutovers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Release Management, BA) to prioritize fixes, deliver enhancements, and adhere to change control processes.
