Job Description

Mainframe Developer

Key Skills:

COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM
CICS (optional but preferred)
Experience with Mainframe tools like File-AID, Abend-AID, and TSO/ISPF
Strong debugging and performance tuning skills
Exposure to version control tools (e.g., Endevor, Changeman)

Responsibilities:

Analyze, design, code, test, and implement changes to mainframe applications
Perform impact analysis and provide estimates for development tasks
Collaborate with business analysts and QA teams to ensure smooth delivery
Support production issues and perform root cause analysis
Document technical specifications and maintain code quality standards

Requirements:

5–12 years of hands-on experience in Mainframe development
Strong understanding of batch and online processing
Experience in financial, insurance, or telecom domains is a plus
Good communication and analytical skills
Agile/Scrum experience preferred
