What You'll Do
At Avalara, we are building the next generation of automated tax compliance products by using modern machine learning techniques.
As part of the AI/ML team, you'll work on real-world, large-scale applications that push the boundaries of machine learning and AI. If the prospect of building impactful systems excites you, we'd love to connect! You will be reporting to Senior Manager AI/ML
What Your Responsibilities Will Be
Design and program integrated software algorithms to structure, analyze, and use data in both structured and unstructured environments
Apply experimental methodologies, statistics, optimization, probability theory, and machine learning to create tools, statistical models, and algorithms using general-purpose software and statistical languages
Develop descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive insights and algorithms to improve product and system performance
Implement programming practices, perform testing and debugging, and increase system efficiency
Adapt machine learning methodologies to areas like artificial intelligence, image processing, and other modern technologies to promote solutions
Deploy scalable solutions in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
What You'll Need to be Successful
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
Experience with object-oriented design principles, common design patterns, and best practices
