Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategic Sourcing Engineer to drive local and global sourcing of machine components and implement cost-saving initiatives.
The candidate will manage suppliers, optimize costs, and coordinate closely with Design, Production, and Quality teams to ensure timely and first-time-right component availability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and procure critical components: castings, fabricated parts, electricals, hydraulics, bearings, linear motion systems, spindles, and other machine parts.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers; conduct audits, capability assessments, and quality checks.
• Lead cost reduction and value engineering projects, including localization, alternate vendor development, and supplier negotiation.
• Work with Design, Production, and Quality teams for part validation, design rectification, and assembly readiness.
• Track supplier performance, ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.
• Maintain sourcing data and reports using advanced MS Excel; ERP experience is a plus.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives across procurement and supplier management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
• 8 – 10 years’ experience in sourcing/procurement, preferably in machine tools or heavy machinery.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and cost management skills.
• Experience in domestic and international sourcing.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
