Role Description

This is a part-time remote role for a Proposal Writer focused on US Federal Contracts. The Proposal Writer will be responsible for creating, editing, and submitting proposals for federal contracts. Daily tasks include researching proposal requirements, writing compelling and compliant content, coordinating with other team members to gather necessary information, and ensuring proposals meet submission deadlines.

Qualifications

• Analyze RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, SSNs, and white papers to identify key requirements and compliance criteria.
• Conduct opportunity research using SAM.gov, GovWin, GovTribe, eBuy, and internal BD tools.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Experience with proposal writing for US federal contracts
• Research and analytical skills
• Familiarity with federal contracting regulations and requirements
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred
• Experience with IT-related proposals is a plus

REQUIREMENTS:

• 5+ years of experience writing and managing proposals valued at $1M+ in government contracting.
• Prior experience with small business (SB) contractors (e.g., 8(a), STARS III).
• Expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and proposal software.
• Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines under pressure.
• Keen attention to detail with a focus on compliance and quality.
• Proven track record of independently managing the full proposal lifecycle.
• Ability to analyze complex RFP requirements and translate them into actionable strategies
