About the Role


hands-on Looker Specialist


Key Responsibilities


  • Act as the

    primary subject-matter expert

    for all Looker-related needs — including troubleshooting, optimization, and best practices.

  • Audit and enhance

    existing LookML models, explores, and dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Collaborate with

    data engineers

    to ensure efficient data structures and semantic layers in BigQuery.
  • Implement

    governance and version control

    standards across Looker assets.
  • Provide

    technical guidance and ad-hoc training

    to analysts and business users on Looker capabilities.
  • Drive

    continuous improvement

    by identifying recurring issues, optimizing query performance, and improving dashboard response times.


Required Skills & Experience


  • Advanced proficiency in Looker

    , including LookML development, dashboard design, and debugging.

  • Hands-on experience with Google BigQuery

    , including schema design and query optimization.

  • Strong SQL skills

    and deep understanding of dimensional data modeling principles.
  • Proven ability to work with

    large and complex datasets

    and optimize data pipelines for analytics.

  • Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

  • Experience in a

    fast-paced, data-driven organization

    preferred.
