Logistics Assistant (Garments Export)

Job Title: Logistics Assistant
Location: Lower Parel West, Mumbai, Maharashtra
Reporting to: Sr. Logistics Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing export invoices using Excel and Visual Gems as per standard formats.
• Support the preparation and organization of pre-shipment and post-shipment documentation.
• Coordinate with factories, clearing agents (CHA), and forwarders to ensure timely dispatch and clearance of shipments.
• Assist in following up with banks, customs, and buyers for smooth transaction processes and timely delivery of consignments.
• Help collect and organize documents required for inward and outward remittances.
• Assist in procuring EPCG licenses and help track closure of obligations.
• Support the team in identifying cost-effective methods for courier and shipment logistics.
• Handle the booking of DHL export shipments and support in submitting clearance documents.
• Assist in MEIS License registration and follow-up on queries with customs authorities.
• Support in applying for Import Certificates via AEPC and renewing Textile Committee documentation.
• Help maintain records of payment details, BRCs, and outstanding invoices, and follow up for collections.
• Maintain proper filing and record of all logistics-related documents.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with customs, GST, forex, and DGFT regulations by helping with documentation and regular follow-ups.
• Perform periodic visits to Nhava Sheva / Sahar Customs to support resolution of shipment or GST-related issues.

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic knowledge of export-import documentation and procedures.
• Good working knowledge of Excel; ability to work with Visual Gems is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external agencies.
• Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of customs, GST, and forex regulations is preferred.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / Graduate in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in export-import or logistics operations will be an advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
