Linux Administrator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator to manage, maintain, and secure our Linux-based systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux administration, scripting, hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and database management (MySQL, DB2).

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and related infrastructure.
• Write and maintain automation scripts (Shell, Python, or other scripting languages) for system tasks.
• Perform hardware installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
• Implement and maintain system security policies, firewalls, and access controls.
• Administer and support databases including MySQL and DB2.
• Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery planning.
• Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to keep systems secure and up to date.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system and application support.
• Provide 24/7 support for critical incidents on a rotational basis.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Linux Administrator (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, or similar).
• Strong scripting knowledge (Shell, Bash, or Python).
• Experience with hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Solid troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
• Knowledge of Linux security best practices, firewalls, and system hardening.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and DB2 administration.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have):

• Linux certification (RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, etc.).
• Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience in automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,688.67 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year

• Linux Admin: 7 years (Preferred)
• Script writing: 2 years (Preferred)
• Database: 2 years (Preferred)
• Troubleshooting: 1 year (Preferred)
