Lighting System Design Lead

Design Leadership

• Lead the development of lighting system designs, layouts, and schematics using AutoCAD, Dialux, or equivalent tools.
• Ensure all design outputs meet performance standards, sustainability considerations, and aesthetic objectives.
• Review and approve BOQs, BOMs, and technical drawings prepared by the design team.
• Implement best practices in lighting design, integrating emerging technologies and control systems (DALI, DMX, etc).

Team Management & Mentorship

• Manage and mentor a team of lighting system design engineers, providing guidance, training, and professional development.
• Assign design tasks, monitor progress, and ensure delivery of high-quality work within deadlines.
• Conduct regular design reviews and establish quality assurance processes for consistency and accuracy.

Project & Client Coordination

• Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, and contractors to align design solutions with client requirements and budgets.
• Engage with clients during concept development, design reviews, and project execution phases.
• Provide expert technical input for proposals, tenders, and presentations.

Innovation & Process Improvement

• Champion innovation in design methods, tools, and technologies.
• Streamline workflows for design documentation, calculations, and revisions.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing design standards and templates across projects.

• Bachelors or masters degree in electrical/ electronics Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in lighting system design, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead design role.
• Proven track record in leading teams and delivering complex lighting design projects.
