About the Role

Life Skills Trainer


The Life Skills Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating comprehensive life skills training programs to prepare engineering students for personal and professional success. The role involves mentoring students in communication, emotional intelligence, teamwork, leadership, and other essential soft skills to enhance their employability and overall personality development.


Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conduct engaging classroom and workshop sessions using interactive and activity-based methodologies.
  • Assess students’ progress and provide personalized feedback and coaching.
  • Collaborate with academic and placement departments to align training programs with industry expectations.
  • Mentor students in preparation for interviews, group discussions, and workplace readiness.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, manuals, and assessment tools.
  • Organize seminars, guest lectures, and external training engagements.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in behavioral skills, training techniques, and industry requirements.
  • Train and guide junior trainers or facilitators as needed.

 

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Psychology, Education, HRD, or related field. Certification in soft skills/behavioral training is a plus.
  • 2-3 years of experience in life/soft skills training, preferably in academic settings.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong grasp of student psychology and youth engagement.
  • Motivational, student-focused approach; ability to connect with diverse learners.
  • Fluent in English; regional languages a bonus.
  • Tech-savvy with tools like MS Office and online training platforms.
