Job Summary:
The Legal Officer will play a critical role in providing legal advice and support to the company on a variety of real estate-related matters. This individual will ensure that all legal aspects of the company's operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage legal risks.
The ideal candidate should have worked in a similar role in a real estate developer organization.
Key Responsibilities:
· Legal Advisory: Provide expert legal advice on real estate transactions, property laws, and related matters.
· Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including sales agreements, lease agreements, joint venture agreements, MOU’s, Power of Attorney and other legal documents.
· Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) guidelines, land acquisition laws, and municipal regulations.
· Litigation Management: Handle and oversee legal disputes, litigations, and arbitrations involving the company. Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
· Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence for property acquisitions, mergers, and other transactions to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate filing and up-to-date legal documentation and records.
· Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with governmental authorities, regulatory bodies, and external legal professionals to facilitate smooth legal operations.
· Legal Hearings: Must be able to represent the organization in any civil matters before the court alone or with company-appointed lawyers.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university. A Master’s degree in Law (LLM) is a plus.
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a legal role, preferably within the real estate developer organization.
· Strong knowledge of real estate laws and regulations in India.
· Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office.
· High ethical standards and integrity.
· Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
· Proactive and self-motivated.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹550,000.00 - ₹650,000.00 per year
