Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance & Statutory Management:

Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Monitor changes in laws and update internal policies accordingly.
Assist in obtaining necessary licenses and approvals.

Legal Drafting & Documentation:

Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, and legal notices.
Maintain proper documentation of all legal records.

Litigation & Case Management:

Coordinate with external lawyers and represent the company in court proceedings.
Track and follow up on ongoing legal cases.

Legal Follow-ups & Reporting:

Provide regular updates (weekly/biweekly) on legal matters to the reporting manager.
Ensure timely resolution of legal issues.

Agreement Validation & Risk Assessment:

Scrutinize agreements to ensure compliance with company policies.
Identify potential legal risks and suggest mitigation strategies.

Corporate Legal Representation:

Act as the companys legal representative in meetings, negotiations, and disputes.
Liaise with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
2-4 years of experience in corporate legal roles, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of corporate law, compliance, and litigation procedures.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in legal research and documentation.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience in contract management and corporate governance.
Familiarity with regulatory filings and corporate secretarial work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
