Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Executive with 12 years of experience to support our legal operations. As part of an innovative EV financing company, the candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of legal and compliance matters, ensuring that the company operates within the legal framework of financial services and NBFC regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Draft, review, and vet loan agreements, NDAs, service contracts, vendor agreements, MoUs, and other legal documents.
2. Coordinate with external legal counsel for litigation, arbitration, or regulatory matters.
3. Assist in due diligence and documentation for new financing partnerships and asset-backed loan structures.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, RBI and NBFC guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
5. Manage legal documentation related to two-wheeler and three-wheeler electric vehicle financing.
6. Handle customer legal queries, disputes, notices, and coordinate resolutions.
7. Maintain legal records and contract management system.
8. Monitor and update internal stakeholders on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
9. Liaise with internal teams (sales, credit, collections) to provide legal guidance and support.
10. Assist in the implementation and monitoring of company-wide compliance initiatives.

Requirements:

1. LLB from a recognized university; additional certifications in corporate law or compliance preferred.
2. 12 years of experience in legal roles, preferably in NBFCs, fintech, or the vehicle financing sector.
3. Strong knowledge of contract law, consumer protection laws, and NBFC regulations.
4. Good drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
5. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
6. Proficiency in MS Office and legal research tools.
7. Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of regional languages is a plus.
8. Preferred Skills:
9. Exposure to legal aspects of secured lending, hypothecation, and repossession processes.
10. Experience in handling legal notices, arbitration, and recovery-related documentation.
11. Understanding of the legal ecosystem for EVs and green finance in India.
