Legal Associate

Key Responsibilities: Handling field-level legal work under the SARFAESI Act, 2002 across Maharashtra. Assisting seniors in matters related to Sections 13(2), 13(4), and 14 of the SARFAESI Act. Preparing, serving, and following up on demand notices, possession notices, and publication work as per legal timelines. Conducting field visits for: Physical possession proceedings Symbolic possession Affixation and pasting of notices Inventory preparation and panchnama Coordinating with banks, NBFCs, advocates, court staff, police authorities, and district administration. Assisting in filing and follow-up of Section 14 applications before the District Magistrate / Chief Metropolitan Magistrate. Attending courts, DM offices, and government departments for case follow-ups and compliance. Maintaining proper documentation, field reports, photographs, and records of possession activities. Updating seniors with daily status reports, MIS updates, and compliance progress. Supporting seniors in legal research, drafting, and case preparation as required. Ensuring adherence to legal procedures, compliance norms, and internal guidelines during field operations. Managing multiple assignments and meeting strict deadlines under pressure. Reporting & Coordination: Reporting directly to the Senior Legal Manager / Senior Advocate / Authorized Officer. Acting on instructions received from seniors and providing timely updates on field activities. Escalating legal or operational issues promptly to seniors for guidance. Required Skills & Attributes: Working knowledge of SARFAESI Act and recovery proceedings. Willingness to travel extensively across Maharashtra for field assignments. Strong coordination, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently while following senior instructions. Basic knowledge of court procedures and legal drafting.
