Lean Six Sigma black belt + Project Management

Role Summary

The Manager Six Sigma Black Belt & Project Management is the improvement engine of the organization, steering high-impact transformation initiatives. This role blends analytical rigor, structured project execution, and stakeholder orchestration to elevate performance, reduce waste, and unlock measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement

• Lead end-to-end Lean Six Sigma DMAIC/DMADV projects delivering quantifiable business impact.
• Identify, prioritize, and validate improvement opportunities through data, VOC, and cross-functional insights.
• Coach Green Belts, Yellow Belts, and functional teams; drive capability building through training and mentoring.
• Establish process baselines, conduct statistical analysis, and create dashboards to monitor performance.
• Drive defect reduction, cost optimization, cycle-time improvement, and process standardization.
• Implement control plans to sustain improvements, partner with Ops, Quality, Risk, and Tech teams for governance.

Project & Program Management

• Manage multiple projects in parallel with clear charters, timelines, risks, and stakeholder alignment.
• Develop detailed project plans, track dependencies, and run cadence reviews (weekly/monthly).
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Analytics, Product, and Technology teams.
• Monitor project health, risks, mitigation plans, and escalate proactively for decision-making.
• Ensure robust documentation: BRDs, SOPs, RCA reports, dashboards, and post-implementation reviews.

Business & Analytics

• Translate data into insights; use statistical tools (Minitab, Power BI, Excel) for problem-solving.
• Identify automation and digital transformation opportunities (RPA, AI, Power Automate, workflow tools).
• Conduct feasibility assessments, cost-benefit analysis, and ROI modelling for improvement initiatives.
• Build performance trackers, process maps, risk matrices, and improvement roadmaps.

Governance & Change Management

• Establish project governance mechanisms, steering reviews, and impact certification processes.
• Partner with leadership to align improvement goals with business strategy and client expectations.
• Drive adoption of new processes, ensure change readiness, and manage communication across teams.
• Maintain a repository of learnings, best practices, and reusable accelerators.

Required Skills & Experience

Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (mandatory).

• 11–15 years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Process Excellence, or Operational Excellence.
• Strong expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, statistical analysis, and process engineering.
• Proven experience running large, cross-functional transformation projects.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Minitab, Power BI, Visio/iGrafx, JIRA, Power Automate, or RPA tools.
• Ability to influence leaders, challenge assumptions, and manage difficult conversations.
• Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in BFSI, shared services, BPO, or tech-enabled operations.
• Exposure to automation, AI/ML projects, or digital workflow solutions.
• PMP/Prince2/Agile certifications (nice-to-have).
