Lead Test Automation Architect – DevOps & CI/CD

THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION WITH ONE OF THE LARGEST, GLOBAL, TECHNOLOGY LEADER.

Position Overview:

seasoned QA Engineer

Minimum Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in

  JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, or Python

  for automation development.
• Strong hands-on experience with

  Docker

  and containerization technologies.
• Proven expertise in designing and maintaining

  CI/CD pipelines

  (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Experience with

  monitoring/observability systems

  such as Splunk or Grafana.
• Solid familiarity with

  AWS

  or other cloud platforms.
• Extensive experience architecting

  UI test automation frameworks

  using tools like Cypress or Playwright.
• Strong understanding of

  Linux/Unix

  systems and shell scripting.

Nice to Have:

• Additional experience with

  Cypress or Playwright

  (if not already primary automation tools).
• Hands-on experience with

  AI/ML

  to support test development, intelligent test selection, and smart automation techniques.
• Experience with modern

  cloud deployment strategies

  (blue-green, canary, progressive delivery).
• Familiarity with frontend frameworks such as

  React, Angular, or Vue

  .

• Define and lead the

  quality engineering and CI/CD strategy

  across multiple teams and product lines.
• Architect and implement

  enterprise-grade automation frameworks

  emphasizing scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Build, enhance, and maintain

  robust CI/CD pipelines

  to support fast, reliable, and repeatable software delivery.
• Implement and maintain

  monitoring, logging, and observability

  solutions (e.g., Splunk, Grafana).
• Continuously

  optimize pipeline performance

  , reducing execution time and improving efficiency.
• Architect

  cloud-native testing solutions

  leveraging AWS, Docker, and container orchestration.
• Enable

  zero-downtime deployments

  and ensure consistent, reproducible environments.
• Evaluate and integrate

  modern tools, frameworks, and methodologies

  to improve test effectiveness and coverage.
• Explore and adopt

  AI-driven approaches

  to enhance automation intelligence, test optimization, and failure analysis.
