About the Role

Lead Software Tester

This role involves close collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual & automation).
  • Design, implement, and maintain 

    test plans, test cases, and automation frameworks

    .
  • Conduct 

    functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing

    .
  • Build and maintain 

    automation frameworks

     for web (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and mobile (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest).
  • Ensure 

    cross-platform testing

     on Android, iOS, and multiple web browsers.
  • Collaborate with development and product teams in an 

    Agile/Scrum environment

    .
  • Manage the defect lifecycle: logging, triaging, tracking, and closure.
  • Perform 

    API testing

     (Postman, RestAssured, etc.).
  • Define and monitor 

    QA metrics

     (coverage, defect density, automation %).
  • Advocate best practices in testing, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 4–6 years of experience

     in software testing with at least 

    1–2 years in a lead role

    .
  • Hands-on experience in both 

    manual and automation testing

    .
  • Strong knowledge of automation tools: Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit.
  • Experience in 

    mobile application testing

     (Android & iOS).
  • Proficiency in 

    test management tools

     (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of 

    CI/CD pipelines

     (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of 

    SQL/database testing

    .
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment.


Good to Have

  • Knowledge of 

    AWS services

     (advantageous).
  • Familiarity with 

    performance/load testing tools

     (JMeter, Locust, Gatling).
  • Experience in 

    cloud-based testing platforms

  • Understanding of 

    security testing practices

    .
