Lead Quality Engineer

As a Quality Engineer Lead at our company, you will play a crucial role in leading and driving test automation and software quality assurance for various components. You will collaborate with software developers to design and implement an effective QA plan, while also providing manual testing support for components that are not easily automated. Your responsibilities will include adding testing infrastructure support, participating in cross-functional project teams, and ensuring adherence to software development and source control processes. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and drive test automation and software QA efforts. - Assist with manual testing for components that are not easily automated. - Collaborate with software developers to propose and implement QA plans. - Add testing infrastructure support for unit test/isolation, limited logging, and selective testing. - Participate in cross-functional project teams and adhere to software development processes. Qualifications Required: - Total 8+ years of experience in the IT industry. - 8+ years of experience in Automation Testing and QA. - 2+ years of experience as a QA hands-on Lead or QA hands-on Architect. - Strong coding experience in Java, Selenium, and TestNG/JUnit. - Proficiency in preparing and executing Test Scripts for Functional and Non-Functional Testing. - Experience with API automation using tools like Rest Assured, Postman, or SoapUI. - Ability to develop Automation Frameworks from scratch. - Familiarity with BDD using Cucumber, TDD, and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket. - Experience with code repositories like GitHub and CI tools such as Jenkins/Bamboo. - Proficiency in Agile SCRUM methodologies and working as part of an Agile team. - Strong communication skills and exceptional defect analysis abilities. - Experience in SQL database queries and Agile software development. Nice to have: - Knowledge or experience with SQL Joins and DB Testing. - Familiarity with mocking or virtualization tool sets. - Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or K6. - Exposure to tools like TOSCA, Q-Test, or Azure Test Plans.
