Lead QA Automation Engineer

Role Overview: You are being hired for a leadership QA role at a global digital solutions company specializing in cloud, data engineering, and quality assurance. Your main responsibilities will include managing manual and automated testing for ETL pipelines, UI, and databases. You will lead a team and collaborate cross-functionally with global teams to ensure the implementation of best testing practices, quality strategy documentation, and integration with CI/CD tools. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage a QA team of 4+ members handling testing for ETL, UI, DB, and end-to-end processes. - Analyze requirements, generate detailed test cases, and create test data for both manual and automated testing. - Validate ETL workflows and transformation logic using advanced SQL technologies such as Snowflake, Postgres, or MySQL. - Develop and maintain automation scripts using BDD frameworks like Gherkin/Behave and Pytest in Python. - Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and Rundeck. - Create and update documentation including Test Strategy, BRDs, Defect Reports, etc. - Foster collaboration across DevOps, SRE, developers, and stakeholders. - Provide testing metrics and propose improvement plans to senior leadership. Qualification Required: Must-Have: - 9-12 years of total QA experience with a minimum of 6 years in ETL/UI/DB testing. - 3+ years of experience in automation testing using tools like Selenium v3+ or Playwright with Python. - Proficiency in SQL queries, preferably using Snowflake or Postgres. - Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS. - Demonstrated leadership skills managing at least 2 QA team members. - Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Nice To Have: - Exposure to DBT, Informatica, or MS Power BI. - Knowledge of the Healthcare/Life Sciences domain. - Understanding of front-end vs back-end validation. - Willingness to work flexible hours with international teams.
