Uber sends billions of messages to our users across channels such as Email, Push, SMS, WhatsApp, and in-app surfaces, through an internally built CRM system. Today, much of our marketing work, including audience selection, content design, campaign setup, performance review, are manual.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Lead Product Manager to join and lead the Growth Platform product team in India. In this player-coach role, you will be responsible for defining and executing the vision for the next generation of our growth platform technology, powered by Gen AI. You will be a hands-on builder, directly contributing to product development while also leading and mentoring a team of product managers to achieve extraordinary results.
- What the Candidate Will Do
- Act as a "player-coach," balancing individual product contributions with team leadership and mentorship. You will be responsible for the team's output, but you will also get your hands dirty building products yourself.
- Develop and own the product vision and roadmap for the Growth Platform in India, focusing on building scalable, secure, and privacy-safe solutions using Gen AI.
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Provide strategic guidance and tactical support to help your team succeed.
- Roll up your sleeves to build and launch products, owning the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch analysis.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, and Legal, to understand pain points and define high-impact AI use cases across content generation, creative review, and campaign planning.
- Prioritize initiatives across a broad set of stakeholders and use data to drive product decisions and trade-offs.
- Champion the use of Gen AI in marketing within Uber and help drive its adoption across global teams.
- Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or player-coach capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in a player-coach role, balancing product strategy with hands-on execution and team leadership.
- Proven track record of launching successful and innovative products from 0-to-1.
- Hands-on experience building and working with AI/ML-based platforms.
- Basic understanding of how Marketing Tech (Email, Push, SMS) works.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an MBA.
- Expertise with Digital Marketing / CRM space
- Deep knowledge of the industry trends in Gen AI
- Experience with building and managing teams in the India market
