You will be part of AMEC’s core R&D team developing our next-generation Solar Hybrid Inverter.
In this role, you will design high-efficiency power converter stages, develop protection systems,
optimize electrical performance, and work closely with firmware, thermal, and mechanical
teams to build a world-class inverter platform.
• Design DC-DC, DC-AC, bidirectional converters, and MPPT power stages.
• Select MOSFETs/IGBTs/SiC devices, magnetics, gate drivers, and power passive components.
• Optimize efficiency, switching behavior, thermal performance, and EMI/EMC characteristics.
• Simulate converter topologies using LTspice, PLECS, or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Work with firmware engineers to tune and validate control algorithms (PWM, MPPT, PFC,
SVPWM) on hardware.
• Conduct power stage testing: efficiency measurement, transient response, thermal profiling,
and reliability tests to Analyze failures, noise issues, oscillations, and parasitic effects;
implement corrective actions.
• Support patentable innovations in power stage design or protection methodology.
• Build and refine algorithms for smart hybrid inverter features, including: Smart energy
routing, Load prioritization, Grid–solar–battery optimization, Intelligent backup mode
switching, Adaptive performance tuning
• Implement TinyML / edge ML models for deployment on microcontrollers.
• Collaborate with firmware teams to define data collection strategies and integration points.
• Build internal dashboards/tools for model performance visualization.
• Work with cloud engineers on model hosting, versioning, and OTA model updates.
